About TSO OTENTIK
TSO OTENTIK is the first accredited Scheme Operator under the Visible Digital Seal International Council (VDSIC), managing networks of trusted service providers.
Foundation
Established in 2023, TSO OTENTIK was born from the convergence of growing verification needs, governmental backing for digital trust, and an entrepreneurial vision for secure document authentication.
As the first accredited operator under VDSIC, we bridge the gap between international standards and practical implementation, ensuring that VDS technology reaches its full potential across industries and borders.
Key Principles
Trusted Identity Verification
Every participant in the VDS ecosystem is verified and authenticated, ensuring only legitimate entities can issue and verify digital seals.
Legitimacy Assurance
Our governance framework prevents fraudulent attempts through root trust validation and continuous compliance monitoring.
Longevity
Built on open international standards (ISO 22376 & ISO 22385), VDS technology is designed for long-term reliability and interoperability.
Privacy Protection
VDS integrates privacy by design, ensuring that personal data remains protected throughout the verification process.
Offline & Online Flexibility
VDS can be verified both online and offline, providing maximum flexibility for diverse deployment scenarios.
Authenticity and Legitimacy
The VDS trust environment prevents fraudulent attempts through governance and root trust validation. Every seal can be traced back to a verified issuer, and the entire chain of trust is maintained through cryptographic signatures and trusted directories.
VDS Technology & Standards
The Visible Digital Seal has evolved from France's 2D-Doc system, operational since 2012, into an internationally standardized technology. ISO 22376 defines the trust environment architecture, while ISO 22385 specifies the technical implementation of the seal itself.
Use Case Approach
Business requirements drive technology specifications, which are translated into machine-readable descriptors called Manifest files. This approach ensures that each VDS implementation is tailored to its specific use case while maintaining full interoperability.
Chain of Trust and Validation
Electronic signature verification ensures document authenticity throughout the network. From the issuer to the verifier, every step in the process is cryptographically secured and auditable.
Broad Compatibility
VDS supports multiple barcode technologies and RFID systems, ensuring broad compatibility with existing infrastructure and workflows.
